Sigma 14mm f1.8 Art - anybody getting one?

I am quite excited about this lens for nightscapes - even if it has aberrations round the edges I can use it on a crop sensor and lose them.

Any ideas on when it will be in the shops guys?

Very glad you started this discussion, as I know a lens like this has been on your wish list for some time. Like you, I envision this being the astrophotography lens I've always wanted. Planning a trip to Easter Island toward the end of this year during the new moon and am thinking about the possibilities. May have to buy or rent this. Would love to hear your thoughts on specs and any real-world testing results you've seen.

Hiya proudgeek. Nice bright view finder will help focusing too. Can't wait. We have companies who give a decent return period so I'll do that instead of hiring.

So I see Sigma has released a few images "edited to tasted using LR." No night sky shots though.
