Unable to Install for View Nx2 On ElCapitan 10.11

Apparently Nikon is too busy to service it's past customers by keeping it's software updated. So anyone have suggestions on how to download my photos on on my Mac, w/ El Capitan 10.11.6 ? By the way, it's NOT the responsibility of Apple to check compatibility of the numerous applications and their software. Come on Nikon!!

I run both viewNX-2 and capture NX-D on el cap. What's the issue? I don't download because it's too slow, I pop the SD card into the Mac. Do you have a specific error message?

Unless you're using ViewNX2 to change file names on import, I don't see why you need it anyway. Preview will show RAW files as long as your OS is up to date, and image capture can be used for moving files off the camera if you don't like dragging them off yourself.
