Nikon 70-200 2.8E lens collar

Hi guys,

Appreciate help with couple of quick queries -

- When the lens foot is removed it leaves an open gap (http://www.bit.ly/2gx5mF6) on the lens body. Is there any part that can be purchased to close this screw hole off? Hoping the gap won't accumulate dust over time.

Also, do you guys know whether the lens collar itself can be taken off from the body (not just the lens foot)?

The collar is permanently attached, just the foot comes off.
