I am not able to save the file

I am not able to save AI extension file in Adobe illustrator. It gives the message, 'Can't save preview, but all other information was saved successfully'. I have tried to repair and reinstall Illustrator. No luck.

1) Googling the exact text that comes up and seeing what solutions appear
2) Uninstall and reinstall Adobe illustrator
also you can install inkscape or AI Viewer Tool and open .ai file.
