Fired up the D7200 last night and took eclipse pics. They were pretty good except for the one at totality. Not sure if I missed focus or it was camera shake. My tripod doesn't really like to look straight up!

Out of camera jpgs. The frustrating part is the DR between the shadowed and lit parts of the disc is so great you can NOT get the color in the shadow to show up without completely blowing the lit section. The rich coppery color just sits there in the viewfinder and thumbs its nose at you.

..I set up 2 cameras to capture the eclipse progression. D800+24-70 f2.8 @ 50mm on interval shooting, and D850+200-500f/5.6 @ 500m for closer shots of the moon...unfortunately weather not in my favour as dark rain cloud cover was close to 100% as full tonality approached....

Try a bracketed set and use de-ghost when you merge them.
