50 year old Photogenic strobes

I bought a set used set back in 72 for a studio I had. They were used from 1972 - 1982 then rarely. I have plug them in about every 6 months and cycle them about 20 times. They did get used for some product shots 2001-2010.

Plug them in this morning and still working perfect.

Many things were built in the pass are meant to last. But some greedy business people override this concept, then things are built to break. I have a Braun alarm clock that works everyday accurately for over 30 years and it's still going strong, they are still on ebay for over $100 a piece today. I bet some old AF-S and AI-S lenses will outlive modern lenses especially those with dumb OLED display which has no benefit to image quality but something to fail.

    I still own a few AI-s and use them a few times a year. 15mm 3.5, 28mm 2.8, 105mm 2.5, and a 200mm 4. They will be good when they are 100yo.
