Thank you! I agree. The lighting changes as you move around the room and as the subjects are closer and father away. It's tricky in a room like this and frankly, I'm not all that good at it. The camera, lens and flash have proven they are up to the task and I get some good shots but I'm inconsistent. I'm making it a goal to improve my event photography this year.

I'm posting my setting and such for that reason. If someone sees something I can improve I'm all ears.

Another photo from the same event. Not horrible but heavy brow shadows on Laura, the girl in gold, from the overhead lighting.

Amen...I like birds but it sure get old when the huge majority of photos are of birds. Maybe we need two PAD; one dedicated to Birds and the other of everything else.
