    @gene_mcgill It's amazing how far wildfire plumes spread. We had some bad ones here in NC 4 or so years ago and could very easily see and smell the smoke over 50 miles away.

    @Photobug probably! But maybe this guy could take both of them (full disclosure: this pic was taken by one of my daughters). As an aside, we once got a behind the scenes tours of the polar bear area at the NC Zoo from my friend that worked there, and saw the very large male standing at full height maybe 8 feet away. Very impressive and intimidating animal, and I was quite glad for the heavy metal bars and locks in between the bear and me and my girls. Wasn't allowed to take any pics there but it was a really cool experience.
