I do like his idea of having a much bigger LCD screen in place of the flip out contraption. Seems to me that would be particularly helpful in studio work.

Don't have a Z9 but I really like the tilt screens. I was using a D7200 with a fixed rear screen and I far prefer the tilt screen on my Z6. Very handy for low angle (and the occasional high angle) shot.

The flip out screen is very useful for low shots. If it was just a bigger back screen stuck in place I would leave it off. It is much more useful than any of tilt flip screens. The stuck in place screens are relics from when they where needed for settings and image review only.

Yes agree. And I do both those things in EVF almost all the time now, particularly image review.

I never use the rear screen on my Z6 unless it shooting from over my head or down low. The number one reason I went mirrorless was to get the EVF.
