The full frame 12 mp Nikon D700 sold for $3,000 in 2008 and can be purchased for around $200.00 to $300.00 today. Its main, and significant, advantages over the four year older 12 mp Nikon D2x are higher ISO ability, larger viewfinder, larger rear LCD screen and more modern menu system. When processed in Nikon's NX studio it can produce files of 40+ mp. Here are some examples.
