Lens cleaning solutions

Hiya peeps,
What techniques do you all use for cleaning your glass? I've been searching for a good cleaning solution but I'm not sure if its the coatings or what on my lens, everything seems to leave at least some smudges from the liquid. I've used all sorts of cloth types and liquid types, can't seem to find anything that works well enough to get it looking like new.

first and foremost I protect all my class with a filter
I clean the filter with

Calumet Single-Use Screen and Optical Cloths

I never use "protective" filters and never have issues cleaning my lenses. I just use the cheap house brand of liquid lens cleaner from my local camera shop, and it has never failed me yet.

I use a uv filter and clean it with a lenspen. No problems so far.

Maybe I'm just nit-picky but it hardly ever get it perfect. *shrug*

Front filter, clean with eye glass cleaners.....yikes, but it seems to work when i need to get the grunge off the front filter....

No filter, Zeiss cleaning tissues if the brush of the lenspen can't do the job. Don't clean very often. Nothing in this world is very clean /:)
