One of the first "real" reviews I have seen: http://learningcameras.com/reviews/4-dslrs/123-nikon-d7100-full-hands-on-review Looks like an amazing camera, especially considering the price. I'm a bit bummed that you can't change the aperture in live view and I was not a fan of the ISO button placement in the D600 either...but the performance and features of this camera are awesome.
There was somewhere a note, that Nikon admitted the aperture problem and will deliver a fix like a firmware update. I think it, was on NR. Here's an information
quote: In this video (at the 5:00 mark) Nikon representative acknowledged that the D7100, just like the D600, has no aperture control in live view and that feedback has been sent to Japan and they are working on a fix:
I doubt the aperture issue will be changed by firmware. I think it is an issue with the shutter and aperture being on a single motor. What the Nikon rep meant is that they will look into the issue. It's on the D600 too and no one from nikon has done anything about it. It's fairly annoying on the D600 when shooting video. I don't use live view often for photographs so that is not a huge problem for me.
