This lens is working out just beautifully!
I used it during a recent sortie into a Tiger reserve and am quite satisfied with its performance!
The only issue I have with the lens is that at >450mm some images start getting soft.
I know many photographers who use this lens especially with a D7000, most having good things to say about the lens.
I would suggest renting one and using it for a day or two before picking it up.
