The MC52 Close Up Filter was just announced with the 20mm 1.8 AF-S lens... but I haven't been able to find a price or more information on it.

It's somewhat useless to me, as I only have the 35mm that accepts this filter size.

Has anyone used the older MC52 or the 62mm close up filter?

I might be interested in getting the 62mm version for the 105mm macro.

Not really answering you question as such NSX, but just to say if this new MC52 close-up lens is as good or better than the Canon one, it will be VERY useful to casual close up shooters. The Canon one is a multi-element screw-on. Handy addition to the range.
    Always learning.

I'm not holding my breath, but I hope they make it in 62mm or 67mm threads. I wonder how it should shoot if I combine it with a 105mm macro.
