For those that may have missed this article, I think it is a worth bring it to our attention.

What Nikon has done right -- by Thom Hogan

I agree with Mr. Hogans position on Nikon's Prosumer cameras line-up and their continues expansion of the 1.8G prime lenses. These lenses have delivered outstanding performance; moreover, have been priced in a fashion that a great majority of us can purchase and have funds left over for other goodies.

As always, please feel to state your position....cheers.

Well Nikon hasn't gone under yet, so there's that. At least they haven't gone the way of Hasselblad yet and rebrand another camera maker's cameras.

I agree on the prosumer cameras and the 1.8's as well. The own the 7100 and 810 and some of the 1.8's, but what they all have in common is that are they are amazing value for the money. This is one area that Nikon needs to focus on more... give me a value worthy 400 5.6, 300 f4 VR, 200 2.8, a 35 1.8 VR. I also find it frustrating that they shortchanged the D7100's buffer despite the buffer being one of the D7000's biggest complaints...

I think if they upped the RAW buffer on the D7100 and kept the size and build similar, not too many people would complain.

The D7100 is already at least offering 85% of what a D300s did.

I may go fro that but there are a few things I would like to see trickle down from the D810.

    I agree.

    Also:
    -have not introduced D400
-not jumped on the mirrorless bandwagon for FX grade (yet)

    Those would be expensive mistakes.

D7100 style memories ( U1 U2) on D810 would have been better ..I am with Rockwell on that one

When I got the D7100 they were not kidding about the flexibility gained from saving settings to U1 & U2. Love it. Have not set up the U1 & U2 settings on the D750 yet.
