    @Photobug - I don't have any filters on my 50mm lens. I have a 12"x12" microfiber cloth. I usually just ball it up and stick it in the recessed area to clean the lens' front element.

    The 35mm has no recess. The lens hood in the photo came with my eBay purchase. It is a metal hood and made by Vello. I have a Nikon rubber hood that I can use also. I like the rubber hood for when I go to aquariums.

    This was taken with my D50 and the 50mm 1.8D with the rubber hood. (1/125 sec, f/5.6, 50mm, ISO 400). I don't remember what PP was done on this.

    @Hammie - I thought it was the 50mm 1.8G lens. Just ignore that comment. I know what your saying about using rubber lens hoods in aquariums. Just wish more places cleaned their glass walls more frequently.
