Another LR question for the experts: Deleting files

Ok, so I just noticed that I've been making the classic mistake in LR. For the past months, I've been removing, instead of deleting images that I had flagged as "rejected". I noticed because I ran out of disk space. :-) (I had always hit return when that "Watcha wanna do" dialog box popped up.)

Now I of course need to get a hold of the files that are in the folders, but no longer in the library. I know that there's a trick for this, either someone posted it here or I read about it months ago somewhere else. Can anyone point me to the tutorial or description?

try re importing them with, ignorant duplicates ticked. add delete as a key word .then delete files with delete as a keyword

- Right click - synchronize folder.
You see - show import dialog before importing -.
Then you can decide, what you want.

If you use LR, stop using anything else. Deleting photo's in explorer will ruin your LR database.

Definitely! Always using LR only for file management. Well, or at least I thought I was managing files... :-)

Aaaahhhh! almost 60GB of additional disk space! What a relief! (I also found orphans from I don't know when.)
