→ Nikon has a patent for hybrid pixels that can adjust their sensitivity based on the incoming light and prevent over or under exposure.

Hey everyone. I'm that kind of type who normaly just like to read others input in different threads, I learn something and I see things from other perspectives as well, so thanks for making this forum a great site.

Now, what do you guys say about this hybrid pixel, is it some kind of idiotproof technology ? Are the cameras going to be almost fully automatic and still get perfect photos ?

What do you think ?
Thx.

Samir.

Just saw the patent.. its a 2 layer sensor .. even more cool... but I am still hoping that they get their 3 colour per pixel sensor going(they patented that a few years ago. (Probably too hard to make) ...
