Hi all, I am setting a whitebalance preset. I am getting blinking ( Good) but when I shoot at the grey card I get a "no gd" reading?

Grey is not white ......you shoot a white card in the light that illuminates the scene

You can use gray or white, but you need to make sure the exposure meter is centered. If using a grey card, you need to "over expose" to get it to be almost white. If using a white card, don't blow it out, it needs a few clicks down.
White is much easier to get right.

Preset Manual white balance. Page 155 in the D750 manual, for example. Keep up man!
