    Using stitching software to put hundreds, if not thousands of photos together, along with tilt shift lenses it's possible. Either that or it was taken with one of those 360 degree cameras.
    If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

    It's probably done with a Gigapan sort of thing except in 360 degrees. I'm not sure how they do it so quickly though, it might be hard to get everywhere at the same time.

    This was used during President Obama's Inauguration. That was just one big shot though, not a 360 degree photo. The same idea in the link you posted, Heartyfisher.

    The shanghai one I am sure is stitched... there are parts where people disappear/appear ..

    Still, pretty amazing... .. you could play a game like .. find people with red clothing ... or find the murderer. ;-)

    There's a building in the photo almost at 11:00 (degrees from the center point) that has some weird lines, so yes, it probably is stitched.

    Even with the Gigapan you need software to stitch it.
