D850 mirror lockup with DSTE battery grip

My D850 started locking the mirror up and freezing the shutter with the DSTE battery grip attached. Apparently several others have had the same problem. Once I removed the battery grip and did a hard reset of the camera things have functioned fine. I'm looking at the Vello grip (the new one). Anyone have experience with the Vello grip?

    Never had much success with DSTE products. All my grips I remove the connector and just use it to carry a spare EN EL 15 or AA for the flash,GPS tracker in case of theft or audio recorder when on commercial work.
