D850 focus shift with third party lenses

I have just learned how to do focus stacking using the focus shift feature on D850 and the focus stacking software in Elements Plus (a plug-in for Photoshop Elements). My current three lenses are all Nikon AF-S so I know they work with the focus shift feature. If I get a newer Tamron lens will the camera still do focus shift? I am specifically thinking of the new 35 f1.4 or possibly 15-30 f2.8 G2.

I am not into focus stacking but I do have two tamron lenses both 100-400. If you get the 15-30 which I would suggest as being more versatile you will need the Tap in Console. My to lenses have wildly differing AF fine tune settings both for the focal length and the distance. Getting the figures you need for the Tap in is easy with the D850 as you can use the auto fine focus feature and transfer the readings for each distance and focal length to the tap in console .

Thanks for reply. I think the console comes bundled with the lens quite often.
