NR Blog delivery gone to pot

A few months ago you could rely on the NR blog being in your inbox when you got up at 7.30 am UK time. Now its almost never there and on occasions has not appeared until 5.30 pm. It is not in the spam and the one on the site is always 24hrs behind.eg today is 5th but the blog on the site is yesterdays the 4th.
So what's going on?

Been having it sent for years but today nothing at 8am. Perhaps not a good time for the site owner but I would have thought spray would have had an explanation.

He’s just a forum moderator, wouldn’t have access to the inner workings of the site.

Have you considered that maybe the emails go out when the story gets posted?

Well all I know is that for years its always been there when I get up. Today it arrived at 1 am . I also know that the blog on the NR page is always a day behind so it does not get posted to the NR page and sent at the same time. EG the blog on this page is dated the 8th but the one I got at 1 am is dated 9th. Just thought there would be a simple explanation .

Having made enquiries of the top man I am told that the delivery of the emailed blog posts is controlled by Google and hence is a little unpredictable..
