The D3x was $8000.00 when released in 2008. I lusted after it at the time but resigned myself to the realization I would never be able to afford it. $8,000.00 from 2008 is $12,000.00 today, again something I cannot afford. But due to the marvel of depreciation and advancing digital camera technology, I recently was able to purchase a D3x with 13,000 shutter actuations for only $550.00 which is an amazing 7% of the original price when released. They are rare and most you find today have very high shutter actuations because only high use professionals justified the price. The first thing I did with it was to produce this screen background for my computer. All the icons fit on the left. If you like it feel free to download it and use it.
Saw Forsythia blooming today. Got out my new to me D3x and used close up photography to create a desktop background with room for icons. You can find full size on flckr if you want to use it. https://www.flickr.com/photos/76080384@N03/
