Apple Time Machine Problems

I am having some trouble with Apple's Time Machine backup program and I was wondering if some of you guys may have suggestions on how to fix it. I recently transferred photos from a Macbook to a Macbook Pro using Time Machine and it will allow me access to some photos but not all. It will give me an error message saying that I can't open the file because I don't have permission to view it. I tried right clicking it and changing the permissions manually, it won't let me. Was it something I set with the permissions originally with the backup?

Thank you.

Hmm, that was the strangest thing that happened to me so far. I restarted my computer and everything was fine. It really freaked me out though because it also happened to pdfs as well as jpgs, and I know for sure I hadn't changed any permissions on my mac.

My guess is the software from my school is buggy. They have this testing software that keeps you from opening anything else so you can't cheat.

Glad it all turned out to be a quick fix.
