Nik plugins are fubar after Google update

Anyone else having this problem. Just tried to run Nik Silver Efex out of Lightroom 4, and got a popup error saying that the program could not start due to a missing MSVCP110.dll file. Net searching seems to point to a stealth Google update of Analog Efex Pro that seems to have caused this issue.

Be forewarned. Supposedly you can email Google Nik support for assistance. Did that and waiting for reply. Grrrrrr.

Haven't had any problems with Nik Silver Efex on either Lightroom 4 or 5. My experience with emailing Nik support has been good ... response within 24 hours.
    Occasionally a decent image ...

Like a number of other folks on various fora, Google replied to email with a link to current Nik collection to download and re-install. 366 MB; glad I'm not on dialup.

Response to query was fast, but I'd prefer if their stealth updates didn't break my install in the first place. I'll see if this solves the problem.

Looks like the reinstall has fixed the problem. So there's that.

Google, in the future, please don't break my things when you try to make them better.
    All the best,

The update to the Nik software disabled only Define2 on my system. It was not the .dll file but something that Apple did not like. I emailed Nik and received a prompt reply with a request for computer system information, Nik install files and LR preset info. Instructions were included on how to reset the presets in hopes that this will fix the issue. This did not work. Hopefully Nik can figure out why just Define2 is so disliked by Apple.
I was not informed that an update had occurred. Only after looking for resolution to the problem on the internet did I realize that Google slipped in the update.

My file folders were still there but there was not anything in them... I too had to use email and was able to fix in about 48 hours. They provided a link with an update. I did take time to tell Google that they need a customer service line that people can call. Pay for a product and they want nothing to do with you after the fact :(
