Getty invitation

I received an invitation today to have some of my Flickr images listed and sold through Getty Images. Is this a big deal or does everyone sooner or later get invited to list their images? I'm not a pro, but of course it would be pretty cool to think someone somewhere would want to pay to use one of my images.

@hawkdl2: Proceed with caution. Should they ask for any personal information and any manners for funds to be distributed to you via your financial institution, avoid it at all cost. That is how you can become a victim of identity theft.

Better use Paypal (if that is an option) as then they only need your email address.

You have some nice images on Flickr, but as noted, use caution. I would suggest going here
    http://www.gettyimages.com
And using the "contact" form, find out if indeed it is Getty or someone posing as Getty Images.

I got an email and it's on my "recent activity" page of my flickr site, so it seems legit. I appreciate words of caution, and will be careful. But assuming it is legit, should I be flattered or is it no big deal to be invited?

Msmoto, thanks for the compliment. I never intended to try and sell my photos so I never bothered to look into the Getty thing. I was very surprised that I got an invitation.

I was flattered when I recently got invited, but they do have quite a lot of photographers so I do know I'm not unique :-)
Sales made so far: 0 :-)
