Will a Lowepro Fastback 350 hold all this?

ok, so here' the lenses I'm getting. I still have yet to receive them but I need a bag to hold all these, plus the D7100:

35mm prime lens
Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Autofocus Lens (Black)
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II Lens
Nikon AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens

Will the lowepro hold all this? There will be filters/batteries and stuff, and I'm assuming some day I'll also get a flash so I'll need room for that too-

thanks-
Dave

Might be a tight fit, and your back will be mighty sore carrying all that at the same time to boot.
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

@Dave, Know this, the odds of you have multiple bags is very high. Their will be a bag or case, that you will end up getting to store all your gear, but as you go out more and more, you will find that you will need a different bag or any given outing...after all you will not want to carry all your gear with you on a given shoot; moreover, should you need to, you will not want to have it all on your back on a full outing. Trust me your back and legs will thank you for it in the morning.

So with that in mind, what to get. From a company perspective, I love Lowepro. I currently have the following item from them: Lowepro Pro Roller x200 and the Lowepro Pro Trekker 400 AW.

Now here are some things to keep in mind as to why I have these two bad boys:

The Pro Roller 200x storage unit comes out and thus the roller itself serves a number of tasks for me. 1) I store all my gear in the bag at home, thus I know where all my goodies are at any given time; should I need to get something out, it makes moving it around for me very nice and EASY. 2) The unit is perfect for air travel, hence it fits nicely in the over-head storage on airplanes...huge bonus and you will love this for travel. 3) The area where all you gear is stored, comes out and the whole thing turns into a back pack; thus allowing you to use the removed storage as a normal suit case for when you travel. I have not used this feature of it, but it is a very neat feature. I got this roller to store ALL my great so I can pull/roll it, not to carry it on my back. The unit is very very solid and the outer hard casing make it strong and durable. The 200x will fit all your gear and more. I highly recommend this roller case to anyone looking for a good roller case.

Now for my backpack (which I have 2) the Pro Trekker 400 AW. 1) Yes, it will hold all your current gear and more. 2) It is very well made and very comfortable on your shoulder specially if you choose to carry all your current gear....even with more such as a tripods. 3) You will find on long hikes, the added ability to have the removable top cover very useful to have around your waste vs having it on the very top. 4) the cover that it comes with for those wet and raining days on a hike very much appreciated. The back pack just rocks.

    Video 1

    Hope this helps...happy shopping :)

It will be tight I think to carry all that. I have the flipside 300 and my gear listed barely fits. It probably would have been a good idea to try it out in a store if you already have the gear.

For my trip to the Caribbean I bought 4 more bags, a bunch of neoprene lens cases, and two more camera inserts. I think I have about 20 bags stuffed in the basement that I have over the years. :D

@tiCreativeMedia - again you have asked a question without saying why or what use you want with something...but oh well. :-w That may all "fit" but I'm not sure well. I think the 105 & 24-70 will probably be too tall to fit like they show in the pictures and those lenses are much wider than what they show as well. The cheaper the bag the more it is made for consumer lenses generally speaking.

I'm not sure what you want the pack to accomplish but You might take a look at the transit backpack 350 by Lowepro. I looked at that one in the store and almost picked it up. I stacked all that (swap a 14-24) with a flash in one. If you are just looking for something to quick pull gear in and out of, pick up a Domke F2 and some inserts. They have their boring, huge open flap look, but they hold a ton of gear and are a great "working" bag. Once you get the hang of one of those, you will see all other bags in a new light.

I'm not familiar with the pack, but I am familiar with most of the lenses. The question you should be asking yourself is how often you think you're going to be carrying every single lens you own. I doubt you ever will, unless it's on a long trip.

well, I'm not sure that I would carry them all, but I would like to have that option-especially in the beginning when I'm better understanding what lenses will work for everything.

    Thanks Guys!!!

I prefer the stiff LowePro bags for my costly camera bags anyway...

And Badland's bags for my hunting gear.
It think my Badland's Monster Fanny Pack would hold most of my camera stuff too...

But it seems today, they all have Consumer and Pro level bags & stuff to choose from.

Good luck, packing it All around...

I suggest two bags, like Golf did. I keep everything stored in my ThinkTank International roller bag. My back isn't what it use to be so this is the way to go when you are hauling everything to one shot or if on vacation. The bag fits overhead for US and EU airlines and meats most size requirements. It survived Alaska with no issues.

Use to have one big LowePro back pack but it killed my back in Hawaii and In the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National park. Remember, the bigger the bag the more you put in it and the more it weights. Besides the ThnkTank bag, I have a LowPro Mini Trekker Classic. It may have been discontinued recently, mine is 7 years old. This is ideal bag, carries the DX body, 35mm, 70-200 F2.8, 1.7X teleconverter, and a 17-55mm, plus accessories including a flash. It's a tough bag.

When we go some where for the day or the weekend the small back pack is ideal. When we fly, the roller bag fits my requirements.

I have also bought LowePro single lens case for the 70-200mm and it goes over the shoulder. My wide angle 17-55 will slide right down inside the case when I switch lens. Hope this helps.

I have a Kata 3n1 sling bag. Currently it's packed with just about everything you see in this picture, except for the tripod (it's attached to the outside), the Black Rapid, and the cleaning stuff.

If that is all you are doing, I would go for the Domke or the Lowepro Transit and save up for when you know what you want later. It is much easier to swap lenses from a shoulder bag than most back packs. Bags are very personal items and it seems none are designed to do 100% of what you want them to do - that is why most photographers have a stack of them in the corner. The one bad thing of most of the side access bags is that when you swap the 70-200 out, that lens has to be in the "big" area and you can't put your camera back in. Generally speaking side access bags are really not all that great for holding a lot of gear.

I have about ten bag/cases which hold different items. For most photo shoots, I know what I am going to do,i.e., long shots, wide shots, people, etc., and this determines which bag I pack the gear into. And, in some cases, I need a sherpa along to carry all the stuff.

Funny thing is, I used to scoff at women for having multiple handbags.

Well, now I have multiple camera bags for different load outs for different jobs. :D

In my defense, it's more of a response to a growing amount of gear, and not because I like the way the bag looks. :D

Yea, multiple bags; multiple tripods; multiple camera bodies ...

You are being assimilated. Just let it happen - don't fight it. [..] :D

I use a Think Tank Retrospective for my regular working bag (at least today; tomorrow, who knows). I can cram other stuff into a LowePro Flipside 300 if I can't make up my mind about what to bring. And that doesn't count the Tamrac thingie that holds my flash and is clamped to the Think Tank. And the little Case Logic bag I use as a filter tote.

Oh, and Greg, I think I see a Rocker Blower there in your gear pic. Very dangerous. Better let the TSA handle that one.

    @Msmoto,
I found you and I both, another nice camera carry all...
Check out the Kata Revolver I think that it's 'loaded' with several great features.

I love the revolving lens compartment, so handy.

Yeah, it's very well thought out, and looks great too... I'm left handed, not that that matters here.

I have a LowePro (Discontinued model I think) which looks like this:

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/840044-REG/Lowepro_LP36412_PWW_Flipside_500_AW_Backpack.html

Works well, and is used for "Museum" or "Auto SHow" shoots as I can carry it on my back, swing it around to have all in front of me, change gear, then slide it back onto my back. Very similar function to the Revolver above.

I have this one from Kata:
3N1-25 PL Sling Backpack for DSLR
Not bad. The only thing I can complain about are the internal zippers. Their are quite difficult to open. Also the velcro for the decider is rather small, so the decider tend to collapse and move.
I very much like the size and the comfort carrying it.

OK, so I got a back and it holds ALL MY CRAP if you can believe that: ThinkTank Streetwalker.

I was going to upgrade to the Streetwalker Pro just for that extra half inch or so, but they don't have it in stock.

Great decision buying a ThinkTank bag. Mine has been to Alaska and all over the US and it does a great job in protection the equipment. They are tough and have a great warranty.
