Issue after D4 firmware update?

Something is happening to my D4 after installing the new 1.10 firmware update that I never noticed before.
When I shut down the D4, it now takes a few seconds, only 2 or 3, before the top screen go's to its off display.
can't say I noticed this before the update.
Anyone else's D4 exhibit this? Or did I simply not notice it before?

No such issue with my D4 with the latest firmware update. Hence, top display goes of like it has always once I turn the unit off.

    Current firmware on my D4:

    A 1.10
    B 1.10
    L 1.009

    A 1.10
    B 1.10
    L 1.004

What am I missing? I thought I have loaded all the updates…..

And, my top LCD turns off within a second after the switch is turned off.

Camera seems to work just fine.

Well, I solved my problem. Chopped it in yesterday for a D4s and wow, does that autofocus work quicker in dim conditions!

That is my question as well. I do not know and could not find anything about this on the Nikon site. My D4 was was one of the very first in the USA, but the firmware should have been updated… Maybe someone knows on the forum.

The "L firmware" is simply a file containing lens data used for automatic distortion control (JPEG). You are missing the latest update to this file, but if you exclusively shoot RAW then there is no impact anyway.

This file is not specific to the D4 and must be applied separately (in addition to) the D4's A/B firmware update.

Info on the latest L update:

    @Ade

Thank you very much, job completed. I have used the JPEG in camera HDR once or twice, so it is good to have the firmware up to date.
