I think this is going to be my next poster size print. I just like the simplicity of it. It really didn't say anything in color so I ran it through Nik Silver Efx Pro.

The images on here are simply remarkable. Left comments on flickr otherwise I'd have to write a book here complimenting. Fantastic images from all.

Tried a new editing technique for fun. Not sure if I like it, but it was interesting to see the different things Lightroom can pull off.

@peter A question for you. It's a wonderful shot but I am trying to gauge the distance and perspective. Where were you when you took that? In a plane? Standing on a butte?

@michael66 this was on one of the overlooks in the park. There are several of those and you are basically above the hills.

One of my first with the new D800. Think I'll keep it. Obviously it's an amazing camera, with capabilities far beyond mine. Some curious things about the UI that may take some getting used to (particularly coming from a D90), but that's another thread I guess. I wish I'd chosen a more dramatic series for my first time out with it, but the weather's been awful since it arrived, so I had to settle for shooting macro in the wind.
