saw this baby Monocled Cobra hunt down a toad and then devour it ......

wasn't able to find my 50mm f/1.8 so had to click with the 18-55 kit lens at f/5.6, hence the noise

I haven't had much time to practice my osprey photography this year. After working heavily the last several months, I was surprised to find some osprey still around, as they usually are migrating south by this time. Clicked this action yesterday. Sunset above Lake of the Clouds hut. What you can't see is the 60mph winds tearing up the mountainside. Carried a tripod and four lenses for the Mt. Washington section of the AT.

Typical Austrian back country scenery.
This is a good example of the D800 resolution power. If you download the full res, you will see a funny structure on the far-most peak and a cross on the right-most one. I especially like the constructions in the far right-hills.
