Some great ones here. Rifqi, sorry about your apartment fire but we're all benefiting from your refuge in the country. Pitchblack, once again, just superb. It'snotme... great lines on that one.
A little view of the harvest moon. I had hoped it would rise in a slightly different place (backlighting a mountain top wind farm) but it missed by several degrees. Hopefully I'll be able to get it in the winter.
Back from another week out hiking, making up a section of Pennsylvania and Maryland that I missed. Here is a shot of hikers approaching the Katahdin summit, seen from the Tablelands. I summited a month ago, yet still just writing about or talking about Katahdin is almost enough to bring tears to my eyes.
I have climbed to the top of Katahdin and would recommend it to anyone on the east coast who wants to experience a "real mountain." Too many are too covered with trees so you seem to be hiking in a forest all the time. Only a few, such as Katahadin have a significant part of the climb above tree line.
Here is a more sane 30 s. F5 shot. This shot was taken only minutes before the one in my last post - sun is going down fast this time of year. Lots of good shots in here.

I rarely take pictures of people, but this one stood out for me. I was shooting boats against a sunset and surrounded by people shooting the same scene with their phones. On a whim, I turned the camera in a different direction. I was/am really pleased with how this turned out, right down to the way the light caught the stray strand of hair over her eyes to the reflection of the horizon in her glasses. Critiques always welcome, particularly from those of you who do such great portrait work. D800 | 70-200 | 70mm | f/6.3 | 1/125s | ISO 250 | -1/3 EV
