Shot in Turks and Caicos a few years back. TTJ, this is the kind of thing you can expect in BVI. D90 | 17-35 | 17mm | f/14 | 1/200s | ISO 250 | -2/3 EV
Back in the White Mountains in late September hiking a section I had jumped ahead of in order to summit Katahdin with friends. Here is the southbound approach to Carter Notch Hut. Descent of about 1500 feet in 1.3 miles, with the section from here on down especially punishing.
Muir Woods Trail, its very hard to take these pictures when the park is full of people. One of the best places on the planet. If you ever get to Northern California you should check it out, well worth the time.
This is a great pictures at full screen, we lose so much detail with the small size.
Nice picture but it seems to me like there is too much of a green tinge to the image.

still playing around with it in photoshop a little, trying to find the happy medium between conveying the warmth (actual temp and lighting) as a result of the furnaces, and not being too yellow.
HeartyFisher, thanks for the suggestion. I desaturated the green channel, much happier with the result. Updated image below.
I think I actually posted this once, but was never happy with it. I'd shot it stopped way down, so every tiny piece of dust on my sensor was visible, which I hated, and I could never clone them all out to my satisfaction. Finally settled on a recrop. D90 | 17-35 | 17mm | f/22 | 1.3s | ISO 160
Back yesterday from California. Ahhhhhh - warmth! Still jetlagged today. So much cool stuff to catch up on.
I tried to clone out the fragments of trees on the left and right borders, but my PSE skills are meager; the one on the left gives me much trouble.. I'll keep trying.
