Cool Msmoto. I looked them up (and they still make fire engines) and found the Museum there in Charleston and would like to make it there some day (put it on my list).
When the temperatures plunge here in early winter, we get incredible vapor rising off the relatively "warm" waters of Lake Champlain. Shot this yesterday morning from a bluff overlooking the water, which I found was the best vantage point from which to view this. The morning temperatures were about -8F. The rising sun (shining from camera left) did a nice job of illuminating the lighthouse and the ice on the breakwater. D800 | 70-200 | 200mm | f/4.5 | 1/400s | ISO 200 Processed using Silver Efex
Infrared converted D200 (rebadged as a Fuji IS Pro), 590nm filter, false color. This is actually an overlook over a broad valley in the mountain ridges of Pennsylvania. There's a curious flattening of the landscape...
@ Juergen Nice Birds. Do you live by a preserve or just a great flyway?
I am living by a preserve. The last two bird shots are part of a project I am doing for some Ornithologists. They operate a bird feeder in a remote part of a forest. I do the photo documentary for it. The feeder itself now has to be sanitized and closed for a couple of weeks. Some of my photos showed birds with severe pox. Those close ups looked really bad, but were a good help for the vets to identify the disease. Jürgen
A common chaotic scene in India. No one follow the rules is the simple description. Location: Pondicherry (The French town), India. This is a straight out of camera image. Vehicles in the scene are Fiat Linea, an Autorickshaw (also called Tuk-Tuk in some parts of the world) and a Beautiful Bajaj Pulsar. I am an Indian too. so no offence to any Indians.
