Yes, both the 50mm f/1.2 Ai-s, and the 35mm f/1.4 Ai-s produce some nice images wide-open. Not super-sharp, but nice:

Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 Ai-s @ f/1.4.

@studio460...well it is something at least ;-) Never shot any of the old lenses.
