Glad you're happy!
It's my favorite lens on DX too.

I'm in the same situation right now but am waiting to see what happens as a follow up to the Df before spending serious money (I'm interested to see if the innovations of the D750 lead to a smaller more manageable Df2).
From my perspective older lenses are a major consideration because:
1) I like using the aperturre ring like I did most of my life. 2) you can get really REALLY good Ai/AIS lenses dirt cheap.
If you are doing night shots and star shots then this might be worth thinking about too. What I want is a cheap DX upgrade that will:
- like the D90 have an auto focus motor so I can use older Film AF lenses that I have and love (so the 5200/5300 are out) - upgrade from the D90 to have an aperture ring tab, so that I can use some of the AI, AIS lenses that I come across every day. I can use them right now with the D90 but without automatic metering.
On eBay / Craigslist prices, the move from my D90 to a used D7000 is only around $200 which seems like a no brainer.
