    @ Photobug - yeah, it looks like it may finally be here. Woot! Not sorry I got the D lens though, as a lot of what I shoot with it is at higher shutter speeds anyway. If they can keep the optical quality as good or better, I may have to consider one down the road (if the price is right!!).

    I'm pleased to see this new lens come to market. I know a few good friends that will join in on the fun. I just hope Nikon prices it at a reasonable level ~ $2100-2400.

    The current price at B&H is $1369 so that tells me we are looking at something over $2,000 for the new lens. I would love to see it in the $1700-$1900 range but my gut tells me that won't happen. Look what they did on the last two lens updates. I hope your wrong Ali but your probably correct. :((
