My sister-in-law Karen took this shot. I set the camera up on programmed. Made this shot with a Nikon D-300, 135 D.C. It had rain early morning hours It gave this shot a touch of contrast. Plus the help of Capture NX2
Can't say I have a best, but this was my most pleasing. Was taking a walk in my back yard and saw the birds.. Pulled up my camera and just took the shot without thinking......using my 24-120mm walk around lens
Some really great photos in here. Inspires me to get better.
Looking back at a my keepers for 2014, I had a lot of good photos, but nothing I would consider great. If I disqualify pics of my kids and ignore client work, I guess I'll go with this guy as my favorite for 2014. Not the best photo (and really shows the busy bokeh of the AF-S 80-400), but I like his smile.

D300, 70-200mm f/2.8; 1/320 sec, f/8, 200mm, ISO 500
However, my honorable mention is:
D750, 50mm f/1.8; 1/250 sec, f/8, 50mm ISO 100
Love the photo ... Any chance it is at one of the hilltop towns of Chianti/Tuscany ?
