@WestEndFoto You can tell the church isn't scared of ghosts since they built St. Peter's Basilica with its stones. If there is a place on the planet that should be haunted that should be it. It estimated more than a million died there.
Used a techinque where you cover the lens in between fireworks, so you get more in one exposure. Not as easy as I thought it would be, but this one turned out nice. This is a 60 second exposure.
The night before the Hayes and Deborah shots there were high winds in the area - gusts to sixty in the passes. Where I was standing for this shot it was nearly calm. The strong flow up high, from south to north - left to right in this view, was disturbed by 20,237' Denali, like a massive boulder in a stream. Wispy clouds make this flow visible. This was shot at about 10:40PM and the north face of Denali, still around 60 miles distant, was all that had direct sun hitting it. Click through for a larger view.
