Had a chance to play with the MagMod modifiers again last night around a fire. Ambient light alone didn't provide a very good exposure. I used the MagGel-CTO, MagGrid, and MagSphere stacked on my SB-910 on camera. Shooting camera manual mode, speed light TTL/FP. Used the shutter speed to adjust ambient and flash compensation to add just a touch of exposure to the subject. I'm not plunging MagMod but I'll tell you their speed light modifier system is simple and now I'm more willing to experiment.
Had rented the Nikon 70-200/2.8 to do some family event shooting. After work one evening before returning it, I took it for a quick spin around a few spots at Cantigny Park. Here's looking towards the north entrance of the McCormick Museum.
