@MsMoto The telescope is a Celestron Edge HD8. #91031-XLT. Schmidt-Cassegrain design. I believe the effective aperture is f/10. There are a couple ways to attach a DSLR. I used a T-ring and a Celestron T-adapter #93644. ISO = 100. Shutter speed = 1/13sec. I set the white balance to sunlight to get the moon color to render correctly. It was fun!
Hey everyone, Haven't posted in a long while, so here I am trying to get back into shooting, uploading and sharing. Its an old one (2013) from Vancouver B.C. I don't shoot landscapes enough, so any feedback would be appreciated
Going through my hard drive deleting duplicates and non keepers isn't the most fun of jobs, but I also looked at shots I hadn't processed. This is from Kerikeri Falls in the Northern part of the North Island of New Zealand from last April (2014)
Nikon D800E Nikkor 24 - 70 Lee filter - probably big stopper but could have been the 0.9 f/14 ISO 50 40 secs
Panoramic taken last night - cheated a little as pano's should be shot with camera in portrait orientation. Shot in landscape which makes it more prone to distortion. Came out well I think. This shot demonstrates the ability to recover shadow detail with 645Z files. I expose to the left as 645Z files are more able to recover shadow than highlight detail. In excess of 2 stops were recovered in this shot from the shadows.
The pano was created using LR6 new photo merge tool. Very good, very easy, using the autocrop.
Continuing with the lighting in the living room. Sorry about the model but he's (me) all I have to work with. This is a two light portrait. Strobe with 37" octobox feathered from camera right just out of frame. Speed light with MagMod red gel camera left. D810, Nikon 85mm 1.4G @f8. Background is a piece of remnant material (mid-grey) picked up at a fabric store.
