What happened to "I am advancing" ?

It seems like the pay to download advanced firmware program has disappeared and the link goes to a "page not found" error..... I was interested in seeing what this "advanced" firmware can do......

I asked Nikon about it and got this reply:

"Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that we have received similar suggestions in the past and forwarded them to the relevant department. We haven't received any feedback however in this regard.

Please note that it happens very rarely that customers receive a direct response to their suggestions from our design department: if they decide to implement your idea, new firmware version(s) will be published on our official Support websites.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you require any further information, feel free to contact us again.

I take this as evidence that there was never - and likely will never be - any 'pay per module' firmware update scheme which is a real shame.
