Any 24-70 f2.8 update on the horizon?

    The 24-70mm Tokina 2.8 was released today without VR and it's even heavier than the Nikkor. Its $300 less than the used Nikkor also... [-(
    Had a look at the sample pictures .. Looks nice.
    On the main blog .. there are so many negative comments on its spec! ~X(
    I think its a wonderful kit for a budget FX user ! This Tokina 24-70 F2.8 + Tokina 70-200 F4.
    Also Tokina and Pentax has some close relationship. Maybe a Full frame budget Pentax with sensor shake VR is to be released soon ! !

    Pentax and Tokina were both owned by Hoya, but Hoya sold Pentax to Ricoh a few years ago, so that relationship is officially over.
