Forum software update

I will be updating the forum software next week (starting September 22nd). You may see some weird design and forum layout while I am doing all the changes. It may take me some time until I address all issues. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will be updating this thread with my progress. Thanks for your patience.

Just a suggestion, is there any way to add thread pages to the top of the page instead of the bottom? It makes navigating threads faster than scrolling to the very bottom.

ok, the update is done - the front page looks funky, but it is usable. I will be working today on restoring the functionality step by step.

Some of the functionality could be slightly changed since the last version. I will try to restore most of it, but most likely some will not be available at least for now (for example the Quote" option).

Ok, I have made everything plain and blank until I solve all issues with the theme I used before... or in the worse (or best?) case, we can just use the forum the way it is now - I kind of like the free white space.

I'm happy you took my suggestion on moving thread page numbers to the top. I'm sure you'll iron out the kinks and color scheme. Overall, it's working as it is. Also, I'm glad there was no switch to a new forum.

Upper left hand corner. You see your name and avatar. To the right of that is a gear symbol. Click on that and you will see "mark all viewed"
This is on the non-mobile version. On the mobile version it is in the bottom left, no gear, just a click for "mark all viewed". Presumably Peter will configure the mobile version to match the computer browser when he gets a chance.

Yes I wanted to ask about this too for photo a day. I heard there were a few problems with it particularly with - given out. I never used the - options, but used to enjoy given out + for particularly good images on here

On Android, the thread pages are all in black so it is not possible to see which page is the current one.

I liked the +1 thing. In the old days you had to write a text to show your appreciation which I find was polluting the PAD.

I am sure Peter has been busy working out the bugs,, but the flat white everywhere hurts my eyes because I am only working by the light of my screen and backlit keyboard.....

Following snowleopard point about too much white, I have a suggestion for the PAD. I noticed that the paragraph width for the text is now about 25% wider than the 640 pixels of the pictures. Perhaps we could make the width equal either by allowing wider photos or reduce the text area width and font.
