I got a LG Nexus 5x for Christmas, which is pretty awesome as I always carry my phone around, but not my DSLR.

They were doing a deal at B and H though, so I also got a $25 gift card for it.

Merry Christmas all, and wish you guys good health!

I do. Not all the calendar shots are on it yet, but they will be over the next week or so.

Nothing photography related this year, then again I don't really need anything either.
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

Same here. Got myself 8 gigs more ram and then had to upgrade to Windows 10 to support it.

Got some decent pictures of the family and Christmas activities.

    "Spraynpray" - LOL.

I got two photo books. I'm currently "off duty" wrt. my usual sports events, so somebody thought I could benefit from learning a) "Portrait Photography" and b) (yeas, it's true) "Pet Photography". Both look pretty okay, but I fear they'll end up next to five or six other photo books that I don't have time to read :-(

Everyone was, and is, congratulating me with a "new" car, but wife cares about cars, I'm just happy it works and that I can use it. (I actually have problem explaining to some of my friends that I don't know anything worthwhile about cars, nor do I care much about them)
What got me excited was my brother-in-law gave me a quite nice ball head for video, I mentioned to him that I'm getting some new gear in January as soon as my promise to wife "no more photography gear for the remaining of the year" runs out :-)
He said "I've got something you might like, never opened it"
He seemed to be happy to have a x-mas gift for me that I actually wanted.

Christmas 2015 was for me a "photography gear" Christmas:)

I asked the wife if I could just order a bunch of things that I was missing, as supposed to getting gifts that I would like, but not necessarily use... So I got some books, some clothes, and have orders made at BHP and RRS:

More Sandisk cards (finally they have 256GB in stock),
Nikon battery grip for my D800,
RRS Ground Tripod, as well as Long Lens Support,
A bunch of Hoya ND filters for my 200mm f/2,
and finally, an EWA-Marine waterproof pouch (not for diving, but for snowstorms).

I spent my Christmas budget when I got the D810, the Mamiya and 4 lenses back in June....... so there where no presents under my tree this year.

Family pooled their resources and asked me what I wanted -- a very clean D4 and a 180mm 2.8 lens. Now if I just had a chance to go out and use them -- maybe after the holidays.

When someone buys something like that, I know that they have very carefully weighed value.

Got a copy of the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 which is simply amazing. Also picked up a copy of the Sigma 24mm f1.4 after Christmas that is already proving its worth for product photography. Great way to cap off the year. :)

@SquamishPhoto: That lens looks very good indeed.

I tried to click through from your image of the Heron to see what it was but you have used a weird method to post that doesn't allow that?
    Always learning.
