What did you get for Christmas?

Not really a Christmas gift, but it's for the whole family to use- we got a Nest thermostat for the house. We should update the HVAC system in our house honestly, it's quite old, but the thermostat is quite old too, so it's nice to have a small update. Our local energy provider has an $85 rebate, plus I have about $50 in Best Buy gift cards, so it came out to be about $110. Plus, we can change our home temperature from our phones.

Oh, you didn't get the gold watering can then. I'll wait for one to be in the store and look at it. I'll also start saving but I need some RRS clamps and another lens first.

Horrid plastic watering cans rot in the sun and have terrible spray patterns. Anyway, I'm aways off topic here.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. I once spent six weeks staying at the Mt Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki. I've traveled all over Kenya and it is a beautiful place. Have fun!

I took the wife on a cruise to the ABC islands, got her a Bose noise cancelling head set for the plane ride and a cheap underwater camera for her to take snorkeling.



I let her drive...







Now for the next year won't feel guilty about buying what I want...

Already home. Have started planning the next trip there. You're right that it's something every photographer should see at least once.
