I saw that and replaced it with another image of the same creek.

Saturday I was at a U12 soccer game and took pictures of my neighbor's daughter. So you can expect some soccer pictures from that game. :D

@Photobug Cool! looking forward to seeing them. My daughter's team was U12 even though she really should have been U11. The didn't have enough girls to field two separate teams.

PS still not seeing the images for your posts from the 18th or 19th

mhjedges, oh yea got really busy and didn't post any. I had posted a picture and then deleted it on Flickr...replaced it.
    I like the high kick.

I shot this image with both the 50 1.8S and the 50 1.2S at ISO 64, 1/50 sec and f/6.3 on one of my Z 7ii bodies. I am expecting the Noct in the next week or so. I posted the 50 1.2 S image which was very slightly sharper in the centre- almost imperceptible - at f/6.3. The 1.2 edged out the 1.8 at f/4.0 in the centre slightly more in another photo a took tonight.

The images were taken handheld with IBIS on as I have not received the L-Brackets from RRS yet. However, I took about 30 photos for each lens in each shot and picked the absolute sharpest one from each shot. Each had about a half dozen that were equally sharp. If I had only one, I would not be confident in my assertions as I would not be confident I had achieved what the lens could deliver. This exercise certainly demonstrates the importance of shot discipline.

    Vancouver from Capitol Hill

The bottom line is that both of these lenses are crazy sharp at both f/4.0 and f/6.3. For landscapes, you will not go wrong with either lens.

Beautiful old locomotive. Once the covid situation settles a bit more I really need to get up there and do that.

I still have hopes that the Austin train folks can build some steam behind their run. The Cedar Park to Burnett ride is nice.

So... If I may make one suggestion I would say to increase your shutter speed. I shoot in aperture priority (typically set to wide open or sometimes F4 on my 2.8 lens) and set a custom minimum shutter speed in the Auto ISO control screen. Usually I go with 1/1000 for day games. That freezes action fairly well and most of the time doesn't raise the ISO up too high. For bright sunlight or when I'm using my 2.8 lens I go with 1/2000. The increase doesn't make much difference with the kids movement but it does freeze the ball a little better.

There's a lot of contact for sure. It can be a little concerning sometime given the size differences you sometimes see:

@mhedges - Yes, that is a bit of difference on size. LOL I watched the Monaco GP yesterday and at the interview of the winner (Max Verstappen) the interviewer brought Serena Williams (the honorary checkered flag waver) on for some comments. She dwarfed Verstappen. Compared to Serena, Max looked like the young lady in the black uniform.
