This is Lake Champlain, which is about a 2 minute walk from my front door. Little known fact: Champlain was actually classified as a Great Lake for about 3 weeks in March 1998. Our senator pushed for the designation in order to ensure we qualified for a certain type of conservation funding. Of course, all the senators from the Midwest where the real Great Lakes are freaked out, and we quietly lost our "Great" status (although we still get the funding). No longer great, I still say this lake is pretty good.
