    Ok, I want a do-over on this one. As you can see I missed focus a touch and needed a little more light, but I love the image anyways. I purposely over-sharpened the head, so at small resolution on Facebook my fans will like it, but I'm a little disappointed..

    Another post rain shot from the garden. I love how the raindrops look like jewels. The 200 micro f/4 is a delicious lens with only a slither of DOF. This was handheld,as were all the images from yesterday

    Not as good as the other fireworks photos posted but this was impromptu as my neighbor had his own show last night. Tonight I'm off to a Classic Car show that culminates with a huge Fireworks display.

    @autofocus, actually, IMO, the trees nicely frames the blasts and gives them perspective. A good, well centered capture.

    All - great shots on PAD so far this month
    @coastalconn - great composition and catch. I'd like the do-over as well, but it's still a nice shot

    @autofocus I like it, it has a "supernovae" look. Maybe this is what Betelgeuse will look like when it blows-up.
    @msmoto I always love your super-wide, not sure what we are looking at. I like the symmetry. It has a star treck reactor look.
    @coastalconn the dynamic of it is quite interesting.

    @autofocus I don't know what you are talking about, I really like the shot from behind the trees a lot. And the sky is nice and bright from the firework.

    @Scott_D Love your warped speed shot :D

    I went out last night thinking I could get some good creative and long exposure shots that photographer Davey J has on his but found his technique to be much harder to do than I thought. Though, if I had been at a better angle I could have isolated the fireworks better. Check out his stuff at his site: www.daveyjphoto.com/tagged/long-exposure

    My daughter. She is the #1 reason I got the current camera and lens and #1 reason why I will continue photography and not give up the DSLR for the no shutter lag and fast auto focus.

    @rschnaible this image has all good things, but a b&w is what you need to give it a soul.
    @DXV_Photo that is futuristic.
    @Luckie nice tones.
    @Scott_D nice pov. Just adding b&w and some split-toning would make it look vintage..
    @PitchBlack lovely model.
    @ttsisgood i guess you need more patience with bees to nail them (or just flash) :)
    @Vipmediastar_JZ your model is very patience :) mine do not let me play with any lighting, her and camera at the same time!!
    @Juergen well done.

    @PitchBlack: Thanks for the info on the images. I had a feeling that it was the lighting that contributed heavily to the CA you had to address.

    I think mixing every light source known to mankind challenged the sensor. Great night with car folks and fireworks celebrating our Independence.
