I recently typed a response to a post then decided not to post it, I used the back button to return to the main page. Since then, that text randomly appears in the reply box in spite of me deleting it several times.
Beeeezaaar!
Yeah, I have had that same problem. But now I have to to hit the "Post Comment" button twice when I post a message. The first time I press the button it just goes into another comment box and then I have to press it again.
OK, I will be doing several changes to the forum this weekend and I will be briefly describing them in this thread. First, I change the commenting box - I think this will fix some of the quotation issues.
I like the new commenting box better, though we miss one thing: inserting pure code - w/o this we gonna have problems with posting pictures to PAD thread.
Hey Peter, it's getting better! Soon, it will just be the white on black/black on white question..... @-) that is what I look like after using this forum!!!
I notice that if you leave text in a comment box then navigate away without posting it, you find it there when you next go to post and deleting it then doesn't always get rid of it - it appears next time you return to the comment box - are you aware of this?
I've had this three times now - I do a post and it appears twice. I then press edit, delete the text in the duplicate and ask for it to be deleted, then save post. When the page refreshes, there is only one post and it has please delete typed in it so I have to go in again and re-type my original.
I have now found that if I press f5 when I see the duplicate, it goes away on its own.
Seriously, I think we would all appreciate comments being of what one might call reasonable length. My very strong suspicion is that after a couple inches of column space, very few will read all that is said.

I have found it works well to just copy and paste, rather than use the "quote" function.
sort of like this:

Got a thumbnail. Will keep working.

Overall things are developing really nicely here. I personally like the white background better.
